Back of House (BOH) Cook - Miss Lucille's Café Kitchen Team Member

Would you like to work at Clarksville's Favorite Local Eatery?Miss Lucille's Café is looking for qualified and experienced line cook.We are looking for a line cook to prepare and execute food to our set specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in our growing team of culinary professionals.

Responsibilities:Prep batch recipes for food service. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Clean up station and take care of leftover food. Stock inventory appropriately. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Requirements:Proven cooking experience. Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Ability to work cohesively in a team environment. One year of previous line cook experience highly recommended.

REQUIRED SKILLS 

• Knowledge of, and ability to properly utilize, kitchen equipment 
• Basic knowledge of general math and kitchen measurements 
• Self-starter who can work independently but also take direction from supervisors
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work cohesively in a team environment.

Job Type: Full-time 32.5 to 40 hours a week
