Progressive Specialty Glass Company, a leading supplier of customized take-home souvenir glassware, with consistent growth, since 1977, has an immediate need for a Global Sourcer. The Global Sourcer position is critical to the supply chain department and is an immediate need. The Global Sourcer position is responsible for sourcing products in the US and internationally. The preferred candidate appreciates the opportunity for personal and professional growth, adventure, travel, being resourceful, and excels in independent environments. This position will work closely with and report directly to the Director of Purchasing.

Responsibilities:

1. Identify and onboard new, reliable suppliers in the US and countries around the world.

2. Negotiate prices, contracts, and request cost proposals.

3. Follow-up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries of proper quality products.

4. Coordinate with factories and amongst PSG departments to develop new products.

5. Track order progress and costs throughout the purchasing cycle.

6. Evaluate and compare vendors, products, and services.

7. Manage supplier relations and all aspects of purchases.

8. Coordinate with customer facing departments to determine and update buying requirements.

Requirements:

1. Must have a Bachelor’s degree and 3 years sourcing and/or supply-chain related experience. Experience in manufacturing and/or plastics a plus.

2. Must be resourceful and have strong communication skills.

3. Must meet deadlines and demonstrate analytical ability.

4. Must have a sense of responsibility.

5. Must have Microsoft Suite proficiency.

6. Must have a positive attitude, a desire to grow, and a sense of urgency.

7. Lastly, must possess a sense of humor!
