Progressive Reliability is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician Near Morristown, TN

Comp: $27 -$31 / Per Hr. - (Shift differential $2.50)

Shift: 7pm - 7:30am

This job requires someone skilled at maintaining the plant's manufacturing equipment and ensuring all Machines run smoothly. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot faulty devices and systems and perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all equipment. They must thoroughly understand various machine systems, including mechanical systems, electrical and high voltage systems, PLC and control systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, welding, and equipment fabrication. Additionally, the ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with all levels of management and operations is essential.

Position Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs various production equipment systems and devices and performs regular preventive maintenance as planned.
  • Performs regular equipment checks and completes the required predictive checklists to identify early signs of potential equipment failures and minimize unplanned downtime and identify opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with the immediate supervisor and maintenance planner to schedule and develop inspection routines and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Performs new installations and relocations of new/existing equipment, regular and emergency startups, and equipment shutdowns in accordance with company standard operating procedures and safety requirements.
  • Keeps supervisor and manager up to date on all ongoing work assignments and provides consistent updates regarding project status, completion time projections, and any problems that may have arisen during the project.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
  • Conduct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on equipment and machinery.
  • Replace worn or faulty parts as needed.
  • Fabricate parts and components as needed.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or other technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1-3 years of proven work experience in electrical/electronic systems, mechanical systems, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems are required, with the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas.
  • Electrical skills in troubleshooting and repairing 480/230 v 3ph.120 v and 24v systems with the ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and PLC ladder logic.
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of personnel, whether individually or in a team
  • Must have working knowledge of testing equipment and devices, including using a Multi-meter, Thermal imaging camera, and primary hand and power tools.
  • Industrial ammonia refrigeration system knowledge and certification
  • Industrial boiler system knowledge and certification
