Desktop Support Technician in Needham, MA($30 / hr)

We areseeking a Desktop Support Technician to provide exceptional technical supportto our internal customers while utilizing the latest technology.

This positionoffers an hourly rate of $30 / hr and requires onsite presence five days a week.As a Desktop Support Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering thehighest level of customer service and ensuring smooth operation of our systemsand equipment.

Responsibilities :

• Provide excellent customer service to internal users, resolvinghardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, escalating more complexissues to the next tier or team.
• Take ownership of Tier 1 tickets and actively seek opportunities toenhance technical expertise by working on Tier 2 tickets.
• Manage the onboarding and offboarding process for user accounts andequipment.
• Learn to administer at least one corporate system.
• Gather, organize, and present relevant information to assess andresolve issues efficiently.
• Set clear expectations with end users and communicate effectivelythroughout the support process.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent workingexperience.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in IT or Retail Service Desk.
• Proficiency in corporate desktop technologies including MicrosoftWindows Operating systems, Mac OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange,Microsoft O365, Jira, Intune / JAMF, endpoint protection tools, basic security,Mobile Device Management, Video Conference Systems, Asset Management, andWorkday.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50lbs.
• Strong customer service orientation and open to feedback.
• Growth mentality with a willingness to learn and embrace new challenges.
• Good time management skills and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
