Pro-Active Engineering is Hiring a Business Development Specialist Near Sun Prairie, WI

Summary

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for increasing company sales and margins and achieving sales and margin goals, by selling production and engineering services through effective sales techniques and excellent customer service to prospects and customers.

Essential Functions

  1. Identify, research and quality potential new clients via telephone calls or site visits.
  2. Develop, track, identify and add qualified prospects to sales pipeline.
  3. Manage the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) database by entering and updating information as necessary for all customers and prospects.
  4. Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business and increase market share.
  5. Present production information, answer questions, and receive feedback to assure customer satisfaction with company products and services.
  6. Inform and educate customers of product features, benefits, applications and alternatives.
  7. Coordinate with quoting and the engineering team to develop proposals, process quote requests, purchase orders and job requirements from customers in a timely and accurate manner.
  8. Close proposal with customers. Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate with stakeholders.
  9. Follow-up completed sales with customers, in person or by phone, to ensure complete customer satisfaction and knowledge of the job progress.
  10. Resolve and report customer complaints to management, quality and through the customer feedback process.
  11. Report sales progress and projections to company sales and administrative teams.
  12. Monitor engineering project teams to ensure contracts are executed as agreed
  13. Make and give presentations to prospective clients and internal executives
  14. Conduct ongoing market research, and collect and report competitive information to management.
  15. Actively pursue and learn industry knowledge on a regular basis, both independently through training programs, research, associations, and asking questions of experienced professionals in the industry.
  16. Attend various networking events, trade meetings and conferences to develop leads and promote the company’s brand.
  17. Attend customer meetings as-well-as entertains various prospective and current customers as needed to build and maintain the strong customer relationships for the company.
  18. Assist the Director of Business Development to plan and execute sales and marketing strategies and goals for the company.
  19. Drive the end-to-end sales process

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. 2 years sales experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
  2. Familiar with Electronic Engineering Industry
