POSITION SUMMARY

PRO*ACT is looking for a dynamic individual to join our Food Safety team! 

Some of the key responsibilities include:

• Lead the crisis response team and manage the company’s recall system.
• Manage all aspects of regulatory affairs, including FSMA, and ensure compliance throughout the PRO*ACT network.
• Minimize business risks through prevention-based food safety programs.
• Develop and implement food safety requirements and verification systems for suppliers and distributors.
• Lead all PRO*ACT food safety, security, quality, and regulatory compliance programs.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by Management to assist in meeting company objectives.
• Lead targeted audits. 
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the QA and Food Safety Managers.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

• M.S. in Food Science, Food Technology or Microbiology preferred; other technical degree may be considered with appropriate food-related experience.
• Min. 7-10 years of experience in food safety management
• Working knowledge of food microbiology, HACCP, GMPs, sanitation, and U.S. and Canadian food regulations
• Experience with auditing diverse food operations
• Solid oral and written communication skills
