Our client has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years and is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to grow with their team. This individual will be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records related to assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other activities.

What you'll be doing:

• Prepares monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements.
• Maintains the general ledger.
• Perform general cost accounting
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
• Reconciles bank accounts monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.
• Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
• Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit.
• Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
• Manages the purchasing and invoicing system.

What you'll need:

• Bachelors degree in accounting (or related) from an accredited university.
• Knowledge inventory and cost accounting is helpful.
• Understanding of GAAP
• Proficient with MS Excel.
