Warehouse Operator Job Description

Overview

As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You’ll be responsible for handling various tasks related to receiving, organizing, and shipping goods. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to safety will contribute to the overall efficiency of our facility.

Responsibilities

• Organizing Stockrooms:
• Efficiently arrange and manage stockrooms to optimize space utilization.
• Keep track of inventory levels, ensuring accurate counts and timely restocking.
• Customer Service:
• Interact with colleagues, suppliers, and delivery personnel professionally.
• Assist with inquiries related to stock availability, order status, and delivery schedules.
• Rewinding Labels:
• Operate label printing and rewinding equipment.
• Ensure accurate labeling of products for storage and shipment.
• Cleaning:
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
• Regularly sweep, mop, and remove debris to prevent hazards.
• Creating Pallets:
• Assemble pallets for shipping, following specific guidelines.
• Safely stack and secure items on pallets to prevent damage during transit.
• Health and Safety:
• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Report any broken or malfunctioning warehouse equipment to management promptly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proven experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely operate warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Physical capability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour

• Warehouse experience: 1 year (Preferred)
