Printing Industries Association is Hiring a Slitter Operator Near Los Angeles, CA

JOB TITLE: Finishing / Inspection Tech Location: Commerce, CA

DEPARTMENT: Production

Shift:

  • 1 st shift
  • Shift starts at 5am
  • Would include overtime and weekends. Benefits

REPORTS TO: Site director

PAY RATE: $18 - $23 per hour (rate determined by experience) -

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OF OPERATING SIMILAR PRINTING APPARATUS

Job Summary & Requirements Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the auditing and editing of products that comes from press using vision inspection tools. The position requires critical inspection and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to run slitting machines and tabletop equipment.
  • Prep material for slitting operation.
  • Inspect labels for defects using both vision systems and visual.
  • Package labels for shipment.
  • Complete required paperwork.
  • Use the CBPT QMS to document all work performed.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as requested. Requirements: • Prior production/manufacturing experience.
  • Roll fed flexo experience.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong analytical, communication and computer skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to finish product within company quality and productivity standards.
  • Must be able to read and understand all associated paperwork and tools.
  • Ability to work within a team environment.
  • Ability to work within a controlled environment that requires adherence to the following guidelines:
  • cGMP • 6S
  • EHS (environmental health and safety),
  • Secure protocols Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and working on a computer.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs on occasion.
  • Work in a climate-controlled warehouse.
  • High frequency of viewing a computer monitor. • Lift/Carry – 20% of Shift • Walk – 10% of Shift
  • Squat/Kneel – 10% of Shift
  • Stand – 35% of Shift Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Prior experience.
  • Inspection and/or production experience a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
