Job FunctionReporting into the site Operations Manager, the Maintenance Tech II will be based out of our Vickery Dr. Location; Houston, TX site and will be responsible for maintenance duties.ResponsibilitiesŸ Performs preventive maintenance on equipment and buildings.Ÿ Troubleshoots and repairs both mechanical and electrical equipment. Observes machines in operation and uses diagnostic skills to locate and make repairs in a timely manner.Ÿ Conducts equipment repairs in a timely manner in order to maintain operational efficiency.Ÿ Performs light fabrication and welding as needed.Ÿ Lubricates and cleans parts and cleans around work areas.Ÿ Perform inspection & PM equipment as scheduled to minimize break-downs during operation.Ÿ Relocate and install machines and related equipment.Ÿ Maintains building and related systems as required.Ÿ Monitors the use of inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment hardware to minimize cost. Ÿ Evaluates the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipates and solves problems in a timely manner, and identifies opportunities forimprovement.Ÿ Follows all company and customer safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.Ÿ Other duties as required. Required Experience:· High School Diploma or GED and five or more years’ maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment required: or equivalent combination of education and experience· Excellent problem solving skills· Strong verbal and written communication skills· Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics· Strong planning and organizational skills· Demonstrated ability to multi-task· Good computer skills Preferred Experience:· Bilingual English/Spanish a plus Hours/Shift:· 1st shift· Hours based on the needs of the business. Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsThe physical demands and working conditions are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
