Enerflex is Hiring an AC Maintenance Technician II Near Houston, TX

Summary

The A/C & Maintenance Technician II will install, maintain and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments: Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
  • Help to maintain welding, building and related equipment in an industrial environment. Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work.
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
  • Needs to hold a current HVAC License.
  • Troubleshoot and repair commercial A/C equipment.
  • Able to troubleshoot, assist with, and repair minor electrical issues.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and electrical schematics.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred with a minimum of 4 -6 years’ experience in related field.
  • Must have a valid state license or trade certificate in the areas of electrical, plumbing or crane.
  • Keen knowledge of equipment maintenance.
  • Solid knowledge of technical processes.
  • Knowledge of basic safety procedures.
  • Knowledge of power tools.
  • Keen attention to details.
