Position Summary:

This position will provide maintenance work for a recycling facility that requires preventive maintenance, troubleshooting repairs, and/or modifications. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for repairing, modifying, and performing preventative maintenance on applicable equipment including conveyors, diverters, compressors, balers, eddy currents, belts, optical sorters, compactors, motors, wire tie systems, pumps, forklifts, and building equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical malfunctions.
• Completes all required daily reporting as required.
• Advises Maintenance Manager of any equipment, parts, and supplies inventory needs by checking stock to determine inventory level.
• Performs service calls for emergency repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Adheres to strict safe work practices to comply with all Company, DOT and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma

Experience and Competencies:

• 1 year of experience of MRF maintenance experience
• 3 years of experience in a repair or production environment
• Must be able to read and comprehend technical reference materials (equipment and repair manuals)
• Experience with applicable Microsoft and diagnostic applications
• Strong attention to detail
• Prompt, professional, and dependable demeanor
