Prince Telecom is currently hiring qualified Fiber Splicers to join our team in the Atlanta area to help connect America. As a full service telecommunications company, we specialize in building, maintaining, and managing some of the largest upgrades, rebuilds and new builds as well as a wide range of services including aerial and underground construction, structured wiring, fiber splicing, cable mining, and engineering for the fiber to the home market.

Responsibilities:

• Perform tasks associated with the electronic upgrade and splicing of cable
• Test, activate, and troubleshoot equipment after installation
• Self-supervise all operations to ensure that all splicing operations are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
• Safely operate and use bucket truck to complete daily construction assignments as needed (potentially climb poles)
• Complete daily production reports, mark-up maps, keep track of work hours, complete "as-built maps" for areas built and track daily production
• Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
• Frequently work independently
• Perform other splicing related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• You are at least 18 years old
• You are authorized to work in the United States for this company
• You have a valid standard driver's license with a minimum of 2 years driving experience
• You have the experience with using a variety of tools.
• You have the ability to communicate effectively.
• You have the ability to work over-time, after hours, and on weekends
• You are a high energy, focused and driven individual who can perform difficult manual labor tasks in adverse conditions
• You can stand, crouch, sit, bend, balance, climb, crawl, lift, hold, or stoop while on shift
• You have experience working in adverse weather such as extreme heat, cold temperatures, wind, rain, snow, sleet, and dust
• You have experience driving on wet or icy roads and in the fog
• You are able to lift, climb, and carry weight of up to 80lbs
