Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Food Service Associate to join our team. As a Food Service Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional food service to our children in the school. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the preparation and serving of food items in accordance with established recipes and portion control guidelines

- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen

- Assist with inventory control, including receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies

- Collaborate with the kitchen management team to ensure smooth operation of food service activities

- Help with menu planning and ensure that all meals are prepared and presented according to established standards

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly

- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

- Assist with catering and banquet events as needed

Skills:

- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service setting is preferred

- Strong knowledge of kitchen management principles and practices

- Familiarity with menu planning and food presentation techniques

- Knowledge of food safety procedures and proper food handling techniques

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members
