Continue your educational childcare career with the best in early education! Primrose of Manhattan at East 82nd Street has an opening for an Assistant Director and school closer. This position requires someone who has several different skills and must be willing to help out in a classroom, assist at the front desk, greet families, answer the phone and close the school at the end of each day.
As an Assistant Director and closer, you will:
- Complete the front desk administrative duties
- Conduct school closing procedures at the end of each day
- Interact professionally with families and staff
- Work in our classrooms when needed
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education required, Master's preferred. - New York State Teaching Certification B - 2 required.
- At least two years of experience as a group teacher in a program for children under six years of age
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, social media,
- Must be Available to Work 8:45 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday
- Able to communicate effectively with parents
- Works as a team player with all staff members
- CPR / First Aid certified required
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
- Employee must have received full dosage of COVID-19 vaccine.
