Triage Medical Assistant
Job Summary:
The Triage Nurse or Triage Medical Assistant is the advocate between the provider and the patient. This position gives our patients supervision, direction, and coordination of nursing care.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Experience:
Must be an RN or LPN, or Medical Assistant who is capable of working in a the triage position; caring personality with a positive attitude; calm under pressure and exhibit sound nursing judgment; excellent time management and problem solving abilities, good communication skills. Must have experience in pharmacology. IV certified helpful but not a necessity. Good computer skills, detail oriented and self- motivated.
Education Requirements:
Have appropriate education and current license for an LPN or RN or Medical Assistant
Working Conditions:
Works in a well-lighted area; primarily seated at a desk, extensive telephone work, computer work and paperwork.
Risk Level:
High to Moderate exposure
