Primary Care of Western New York is Hiring a Patient Service Representative (Call Center) Near Amherst, NY

Primary Care of Western New York is one of the largest physician owned family medicine practices in the Buffalo area. Our dedicated team delivers excellent service to support high quality patient care to patients of all ages . Our five offices are located in: Williamsville, Kenmore, Lancaster, and Wheatfield.

We are looking to add qualified, full time Patient Service Representative's to expand our telephone service. A caring and friendly demeanor with superior telephone etiquette, dependability and attention to detail are must have qualifications for this position. Assigned office location will be limited, but the ability to work among the five locations is an expectation on occasion. Work hours are day time with 1 evening shift per week M-F. Rate of compensation is based on relevant experience and skills.

Primary Functions:

  • Provide a high level of service to maintain patient satisfaction
  • Maintain accuracy in a fast paced environment
  • Answer a high volume of phone calls
  • Field general inquiries about PCWNY
  • Register new patients with the practice
  • Verify patient’s insurance and demographic information
  • Schedule patient appointments using the electronic health record
  • Collaborate and communicate with Providers, Nurses and Billers

Qualifications:

  • Customer/patient experience-1 year or more preferred
  • Dependable, punctual and conscientious
  • Able to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Typing a minimum of 35 WPM
  • Positive attitude
  • Electronic health record experience desired

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
