Press Enterprise, Inc. is the parent company of The Press Enterprise, both a commercial printer and a daily newspaper published in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Our daily newspaper serves a wide area including Columbia County, Montour County, and Luzerne County. This includes the municipalities of Bloomsburg, Danville, Berwick, Benton, Millville, Catawissa, and Elysburg.

Our Commercial Printing Division provides SNAP certified Cold Web and Heat Set offset printing services. We print millions of retail inserts, advertising supplements, weekly/monthly newspaper format products and many other printed publications every week.

Job Title: Classifieds Customer Service Representative Part Time

The Press Enterprise in Bloomsburg, PA is seeking a part-time employee to complete various administrative and sales tasks in the Advertising Department. Main responsibilities include: solicits and receives advertisement orders by walk-in, telephone, email and fax. Consults with advertisers to assist with ad wording, rates and ad layout. Solicits and develops new business through cold calling.

• Sells classified advertising to transient, commercial, contract and national advertisers.
• Sells specialty pages as assigned by Advertising Director. 
• Maintains an acceptable performance level in lineage, ad count and accuracy, as well as, with specialty page responsibilities.
• Uses sales tools to sell advertisers multiple insertions, complete well-written ad copy and effective layouts to ensure best possible results.
• Cold calls for new accounts and make call backs on all expiring ads.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and accuracy in English language skills (spelling, grammar, etc.).
• 1-3 years of Customer service experience.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Computer, multi-line telephones and office equipment knowledge.
• Familiarization with laws governing advertising with a focus on housing and employment preferred.
