Summary:
 
Performs maintenance, security, and transportation functions of the community to ensure a reliable operating facility and a safe environment for all stakeholders.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Identifies and suggests innovative approaches and participates in implementing performance improvement opportunities. Maintains compliance with Presbyterian SeniorCare policy and procedure in accordance with governing laws, regulations, regulatory agencies, accreditation bodies and facility standards. Demonstrates on a consistent basis individual and team behavior that supports culture change, Woodwell and Woodside philosophies of PSC. Consistently upholds the mission, values and behavior standards of PSC. Maintains confidentiality. Other duties may be assigned.
 
Performs preventive maintenance functions on assigned facility equipment. 
 
Ability to prioritize assigned work load to effect efficient results.
 
Ability to competently troubleshoot equipment to the extent of identifying the failure to a specific component or system, then engaging technical support assistance.
 
With the supervisor's direction, disassemble various equipment to determine the scope of repair. If feasible, makes the repair and returns to operation. Documents all repairs and follows regulatory demands for such repairs.
 
Demonstrates the ability to decide what tools are required to perform various tasks and assures their availability for pending tasks by pre-job conferences.
 
Determines plumbing problems and has the ability to perform plumbing repairs including replacement of sinks, tubs, etc. Possesses the ability to read schematics to locate various valving and lines for shutoff or re-routing to ensure least possible down time on equipment. 
 
Operate community motor vehicles as assigned to provide for medical or operational needs.
 
Tests and determines problems associated with 110/240 volt electrical systems. Is able to locate and troubleshoot branch circuit failures.
 
Responds to emergency or non-emergency calls throughout the facility as described by policy to promote safety and reliability to those situations.
 
Documents all work with proper use of the work order system and other specific forms to furnish data for regulatory and scheduling requirements.
 
Requisitions required materials to facilitate assigned work orders.
 
Education and/or Experience:
 
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Other Qualifications: 

A minimum of two years continuous maintenance experience or six months specific education in one of the following trades:
 
Electricity; HVAC; Plumbing/Fitting; Welding/Fabricating; Carpentry
