Our Automotive Upfitting Technician is an advanced technician who is the lifeblood of our operations. They are responsible for our pre-delivery installations and inspections completed with quality and efficiency.

Working together with team members, our experienced technicians perform hundreds of aftermarket installations per month to keep our customized rental fleet working.

COMPENSATION

This position has a competitive compensation package that is a combination of hourly base pay plus profit sharing paid quarterly after 1 year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install upfits on rental trucks and handles chassis and bed prep, wiring harnesses, pto installation, hydraulics, and quality checks for our F150-F750 series vehicles.
• Safely connect mechanical and electrical aftermarket components, including fuel transfer pumps and safety strobe lighting.
• Meet rental schedule deadlines set by the Department Manager while completing installations in a timely manner.
• Ensure accurate completion of workshop orders by verifying the proper installation of all items.
• Adhere to all quality and safety standards for installation procedures and best practices, passing final quality inspections.
• Perform electronic vehicle check-in and check-out inspections using a tablet with meticulous attention to detail.
• Perform metal fabrication work, including welding, cutting, and drilling, required for production builds and upfits.
• Collaborate with team members and Department Manager to continuously enhance installation processes.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must Have
• Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed
• Knowledge of and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong team player.
• Must be able to work both inside the shop environment and outdoors.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and stand for long periods of time.
• Nice to Have
• Ability to build and maintain good rapport with internal and external customers and handle situations with confidence, tact and resourcefulness.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and use a tablet.
