Premier Personnel Group, Inc. is Hiring a Payroll Specialist Near Monroe, NJ

Our client in Monroe Township, NJ is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team. You may work-from-home most of the time, but must be willing to commute (drive) to the Monroe office whenever needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and maintain accurate bi-weekly payroll processing and payments to associates.
  • Maintain business relations with the outsourced payroll service provider.
  • Oversee web based payroll and time system for entire organization (including daily, quarterly, and yearly maintenance, updates, and additions).
  • Responsible for the processing of any and all payroll changes in the system, including but not limited to new hires, terminations, address changes and pay rate/job title changes.
  • Oversee payroll tax related issues, including but not limited to unemployment rate changes, tax notices, and new tax filings.
  • Manage garnishments, including but not limited to processing new garnishments, sending correspondences, and tracking balances.
  • Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets necessary for processing bonuses and other payroll related needs.

Requirements:

  • Must live within 40 miles of Monroe Twp, NJ 08831
  • Two years’ experience in payroll or related field
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Prior experience with web-based payroll system
  • Effective decision making skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
