Job Summary:
· This Personal Lines Customer Service Representative is the first point of contact for clients in our comprehensive, independent insurance business segment. A friendly personality, strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail ensure success in this role. Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, attention to detail, initiative, professionalism, teamwork, and collaboration are the skills that will leave a lasting impression on both internal and external customers and are highly valued. The Personal Lines Customer Service representative will be responsible for handling customer service inquiries, providing customer support, ensuring customer satisfaction, and improving customer experience. This position assists in the retention of existing accounts by providing prompt, efficient, high-quality service in support of Producer activities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Receive phone calls to address customer inquiries, policy coverages, and questions for existing policies to include billing questions
· Complete and process policy changes and requests, endorsements, certificates of insurance and collect premium where applicable
· Review coverage options, evaluating and processing renewals by working with Carriers to find the best rates
· Assist with policy issuance ensuring all documentation complies with industry and agency standards, fully noting in the management system
· Submit claims following agency standards for all related processes
· Collaborate and support Producers in sales and retention efforts, delivering exceptional service and building strong client loyalty
· Take initiative to quickly collect information and resolve client issues. Assist staff and customers in resolving personal lines inquiries and service requests in a professional and timely manner
· Miscellaneous duties as required
Qualification and Requirements:
· Strong work ethic and sense of urgency
· Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills to include written and verbal communication
· An active Missouri Property and Casualty (P&C) license
· Prefer independent agency experience but will train top candidates
· Above average computer skills. Agency management system: EZLynx
