Premier Home Healthcare Services Inc is Hiring a Director of Benefits Near New York, NY

Premier Home Health Care Services, Inc. is a leading established Home Health Care Agency. We currently have an opportunity available for a Director of Benefits in New York City.

The role of the Director of Benefits is to be responsible for the administration of employee benefits (Union and Non-Union) in all company operations.

Key Functions Include:

-Provide guidance and assistance to all locations on various employee benefit plans.

-Build, supervise and monitor a cohesive team of support staff to handle day to day administration of the Company’s employee benefit plans.

-Work with the Company’s outside broker (Mercer Consulting) to develop, recommend and installs approved, new, or modified plans and employee benefit policies and supervise administration of existing plans.

-Develop cost control procedures to assure maximum coverage at the least possible cost to the company and employee.

-Assures company compliance with provisions of Employee Retirement Income Security Act (“ERISA”). Supervise preparation of reports and applications required by law to be filed with federal and state agencies, such as the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor, insurance commissioners and other regulatory agencies. Review and analyze changes to state and federal laws pertaining to benefits, and reports necessary or suggested changes to management. Coordinate company benefits with government sponsored programs.

-Prepare and execute with legal consultation, benefit documentation such as original and amended plan texts, benefit agreements and insurance policies. Instruct insurance carriers, trustees and other administrative agencies outside the company to effect changes in benefit programs. Ensures prompt and accurate compliance.

-Strong analytical skills and ability to work with IT and corporate payroll staff in the development of ad hoc reports.

-Ability to represent the Agency at outside meetings with vendors and consulting firms.

-Knowledge of self-insured plans. Preferably at least 2 years working with this type of benefit plan.

-401K administration.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in HR Management/Business Administration or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably as a director or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems.

-A minimum of ten or more years’ progressive benefits experience in a comparably sized company handling corporate and union benefits.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.

-Knowledge of all applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulatory requirements.
