Job details for an Electrical Designer:

  • Pay Type: Salaried (based on experience)
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday with a flexible start time between 6am-9am
  • Interview process: phone screening, on-site interview, and facility tour

Job duties and responsibilities for an Electrical Designer:

  • Craft precise designs for automation and variable speed drive system panels
  • Select components and create detailed schematics and bills of materials using CAD software
  • Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and cross-functional team members to develop electrical designs meeting project requirements
  • Ensure strict adherence to pertinent electrical codes and standards throughout the design process
  • Review and provide recommendations for enhancements to existing electrical design standards
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate the latest advancements into designs

Experience and requirements for an Electrical Designer:

  • 2-year degree in Engineering, Electronics Design or Technology or a related field, OR a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field
  • Ability to proficiently read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Experience with electrical panel components
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with UL508A or NFPA70 (NEC) standards
  • Prior experience working in the Automation and Drives industry is preferred
  • Experience with Autocad Electrical or similar design software is a plus

Employment is conditional on passing a background check and drug screening, subject to applicable laws and regulations
