Job details for an Electrical Designer:
- Pay Type: Salaried (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday-Friday with a flexible start time between 6am-9am
- Interview process: phone screening, on-site interview, and facility tour
Job duties and responsibilities for an Electrical Designer:
- Craft precise designs for automation and variable speed drive system panels
- Select components and create detailed schematics and bills of materials using CAD software
- Collaborate with project managers, design engineers, and cross-functional team members to develop electrical designs meeting project requirements
- Ensure strict adherence to pertinent electrical codes and standards throughout the design process
- Review and provide recommendations for enhancements to existing electrical design standards
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate the latest advancements into designs
Experience and requirements for an Electrical Designer:
- 2-year degree in Engineering, Electronics Design or Technology or a related field, OR a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a related field
- Ability to proficiently read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with electrical panel components
- Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Familiarity with UL508A or NFPA70 (NEC) standards
- Prior experience working in the Automation and Drives industry is preferred
- Experience with Autocad Electrical or similar design software is a plus
Employment is conditional on passing a background check and drug screening, subject to applicable laws and regulations
