Preform Solutions, Inc. located in Sioux Falls, SD is a local, trusted, manufacturer of plastic products for the packaging industry, with over 20 years in Sioux Falls.
Are you a problem solver? Do you like detailed work? If so, you may be a great fit for our team! We are looking for a Quality Control Technician to ensure we are eliminating defects from our product, and providing the customers with a superior product to meet their needs.
JOB DUTIES
- Work with the Quality Manager to pull samples of product for quality testing
- Complete top load testing using testing equipment
- Record measurements during testing process
- Communicate work progress and issues to Quality Manager
- Assist with product sorting at needed
- Visual inspection of product to identify quality issues
- Sort defective product from quality product
- May need to assist in other general warehouse duties as time permits
- Willing to assist Quality Manager in other job duties in the department
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Warehousing, production, or material handling
- Works well with others and a team player
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach overhead, and navigate the warehouse
- Self-motivated
- Detailed and organized
- Dedicated, dependable as well as good attendance
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent hand/eye coordination
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Office is preferred, but not required
Available Shifts:
Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
Compensation:
$16/hour to start; may be negotiable for someone with prior experience
This full-time position includes our comprehensive benefit package of PTO, Holiday Pay, Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, short-term/long-term disability, and 401k plan.
