Remote, Located in Twin Cities

Starting salary for candidate who meets minimum requirements (Experience will be compensated): $52,400 /year

Typical Schedule: 40 hours/week – all positions are benefits eligible.

What to expect:

Under immediate supervision of the Senior Events Manager, the Events Manager performs a wide variety of functions. The Events Manager will strengthen and expand support for the organization by working collaboratively to design, plan, and implement development-based special events. Event Managers are advocates in implementing our mission of “Advancing and protecting sexual and reproductive healthcare for all.” They may perform other related duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. Occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Responsibilities:

This position will impact us with the following contributions:

  • Oversee and coordinate development-based, donor-centric fundraising events, including but not limited to:
    • Setting and achieving event goals, with the Senior Events Manager, staff, and volunteers as appropriate.
    • Event planning, logistics, implementation, project management, invitation production and mailing, and event follow-up.
  • Work collaboratively with Senior Events Manager, staff across departments, vendors, service providers, volunteers, and other stakeholders to ensure highly effective and successful events.
  • Oversee the management of events-based data in Raiser’s Edge, including guest registrations, data entry, running queries, and reports.
  • Coordinate with donors and volunteers throughout the affiliate on events to advance the achievement of event goals, as needed.
  • Manage online event-related operations, including bulk emails in content-management systems, and fundraising technology.
  • Manage the tracking and documentation of event information (formats, speakers, special guests, etc.) and numbers (hosts, RSVPs, attendees, expenses, revenue, etc.)
  • Assist with development activities and perform other duties as needed.
  • Travel and attend fundraising events across the five-state affiliate as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Three or more years in planning and coordinating successful events.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Access to independent transportation, valid driver’s license, and current vehicle insurance, and willingness to drive to different locations as needed.

  • Willingness and strong ability to work with volunteers and volunteer committees.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is included in the SEIU bargaining unit and, depending on state law, requires union dues be deducted from employee paychecks in an amount up to 2.25% of gross pay.
