PPMM is Hiring an IT Field Technician Near Fresno, CA
The IT Field Technician will be responsible for assisting with onsite installation, repair and troubleshooting of a variety of IT equipment. This individual will contribute to the physical installation of devices, removal of existing devices, ensuring proper labeling of equipment, preparing hardware for return shipment, and validation of all IT equipment post-installation. The IT Field Technician will support and receive direction from our IT Field Project Coordinator to ensure all work assigned is completed in a timely, quality, and professional manner.
- Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for IT systems and equipment within the healthcare facilities, including but not limited to workstations, peripherals, printers, scanners, network infrastructure, and phones.
- Install, configure, and test hardware and software systems to ensure functionality.
- Provide onsite supervision and coordination with IT vendors.
- Document all service activities, including pre/post pictures.
- Provide technical support, document issues, and identify solutions to onsite staff issues.
- Travel to our sites to deploy, troubleshoot, and oversee IT equipment installations.
- Adapt to changes in project scope and responsibility quickly and easily.
- Assist with field site surveys for upcoming remodels/build outs.
- Adhere to industry regulations and best practices related to healthcare IT, data security, and patient privacy (e.g. HIPAA compliance).
- Provide training and support to Workforce Members on the use of IT systems and tools.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree or certification in IT-related field preferred. (e.g. CompTIA A , Network , Security )
- Experience in IT technical support or field technician role in the healthcare field a plus.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Experience with MS Office.
- Experience managing tasks with a variety of technologies and platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with Workforce Members and vendors.
- Must be detail oriented to ensure all tasks are completed and functionality is validated.
- Strong commitment to customer service and delivering high-quality technical support.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Flexibility to work non-standard hours and travel to different health centers as needed. Occasional overnight stay may be required.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
