POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Underground Utilities Division specializes in underground electric, telecom, and fiber infrastructure construction and maintenance. Services include Duct Bank Installation, Manhole Installation, Conduit Installation, Handhole Installation, Duct Bank Repair, Manhole Maintenance and Repair, and Manhole Surveys.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

• Constant exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, toxic chemicals, biohazardous materials, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and/or loud noises.
• Requires heavy physical work, including lifting, pushing, or pulling.
• No fear of heights.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Relevant utility construction experience.
• Familiarity working around heavy equipment, including digging to expose live utilities.
• Ability to demonstrate safe practices while working in public right-of-ways and roads.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Knowledge of the utility marking system.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong team player.
• OSHA 10 certification (will provide if not already obtained).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
• Stamina to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
• Good vision, including close-up and peripheral vision, for detailed inspections.
• Hearing ability to diagnose engine and equipment noises.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
