Compensation: $32-$37/hr
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Power & Construction Group is adding Heavy Equipment Operators to our Underground Utilities team!
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate equipment around live utilities
• Manual labor is required, including but not limited to digging with a hand shovel or bar to expose live utilities, heavy lifting, climbing in and out of trenches
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance on equipment and tools

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 10 years experience operating around live utilities
• Must be able to demonstrate skills in the safe operation and daily preventative maintenance of backhoes, excavators, loaders, and skid steers
• Must have hands on experience in digging safely around live utilities
• Must have experience working safely in traffic zones
• Have no lifting or physical restrictions
• OSHA 10 Certification
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with the public and Clients
• Work outdoors year round in all types of weather
• Demonstrate safe and proper use and maintenance of all company tools and equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
• Stamina to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise tasks.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods.
• Good vision, including close-up and peripheral vision, for detailed inspections.
• Hearing ability to diagnose engine and equipment noises.
