PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of Area Sales Manager for Italy,  in the areas of Lazio and Sardinia, within our South European Regional Sales Team. JOB TITLE: Area Sales Manager

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Area Sales Manager for Italy you will bring your PPE and/or workwear experience to sell Portwest products to distributors reporting into the Regional Sales Manager. We have had extensive growth over the past number of years and we are looking for you to join to continue this growth trajectory. 

OVERVIEW OF DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Build quality business relationships with new and existing
• Conduct daily face-to-face salesmeetings to maintain and develop relationships with distributors, resellers, and
• Identify existing customers with high growth potential and create a roadmap for their further
• Identify new business opportunities and complete the sales planning
• Utilise strategies to win new business on acontinuous and consistent
• Engage in consultative selling byidentifying customers’ needs and providing a Portwest solution to meet those
• Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective
• Focuson selling new Portwest products by bringing samples to each
• Ensure effective after-meeting follow-up to close
• Conduct ongoing development of market intelligence, including marketing events such as trade shows, seminars,exhibitions, and journals which is fed back to the
• Promote distributor promotions on our products with end

REQUIREMENTS

To become the Area Sales Manager for Italy you will need: 

• 3-5 years of PPE, workwear, or safety wear sales experience
• Experience selling on behalf of a manufacturer, distributor, reseller or agent is
• Sales experience in a related industry that shares the same distributor network will also be considered such as Automotive, Tools, Chemicals, MRO’s etc.
• Appetite to continue sales growth of Portwest through field
• Clean driving licence and willingness to drive throughout your designated
