Port City Air is Hiring a Prep Cook Near Portsmouth, NH

Great Circle Catering (GCC) is the Seacoast area's premier full-service caterer. GCC operates as a commissary kitchen for corporate catering, social events, food trucks, kiosks, general aviation and military troop flights. We are currently hiring for full and part-time Prep Cooks for our growing company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Rounds Chefs with food preparation
  • Assist with production of large-scale orders
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces and other areas of the facility
  • Follow recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Assist with loading and unloaded of fleet vehicles for deliveries and events
  • Assist with receiving and stocking inventory
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Fundamental culinary knowledge required
  • Some previous food service experience preferred
  • Willingness to learn and be crossed trained
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift, push pull 35 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to use standard kitchen equipment – slicer, dish machine, knives, ovens
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
