Summary of Job Description
As a Regional Catering Specialist at Pollo Campero, your role will be crucial in planning, developing, and expanding sales for multiple restaurant locations in your designated region. You will be responsible for nurturing relationships with existing clients, ensuring the successful execution of sales-building initiatives, and acting as a local brand ambassador. This position collaborates closely with the Marketing Department, Operations Services Support, Area Manager, Management Teams, and Catering Teams at each restaurant location.
Key Responsibilities
As a Regional Catering Specialist, the main objective is to increase sales across all stores in the region including a focus on new store openings (NSOs) and identifying "Focus Stores" collaborating with General Managers and Area Managers.
The Regional Catering Specialist will utilize the Catering Sales Playbook while also coming up with sales enhancement strategies such as catering lead generation, identifying key target clients for each store, sample caterings, participation in corporate events, monitoring and identification of opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with existing catering clients, in-depth knowledge of each store's top 20 catering clients, development of automated CRM communication, coordination with catering teams on cookie drops and follow-up emails, implementing the Catering Sales Playbook, engaging with the local community and executing "Give Backs," ideation and amplification of promotional programs, building relationships with schools and proactively reaching out, coordination and execution of events, identifying sponsorship opportunities, and leading new initiatives to meet the needs of catering clients.
Meetings & Reporting:
Participate in weekly catering calls with all Area Managers and Catering teams to discuss upcoming initiatives, promotions, and areas of focus. Also participate in bi-weekly Sales Building calls with Operations, Operations Services, and Marketing.
Generate weekly reports outlining sales activities and results, providing insights into the progress made.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to review all stores in the region quarterly, determining Focus Stores for the upcoming quarter.
Monitor Sales & Trends Within Market:
Stay informed of the region's fast-casual market, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand, and strategies to compete effectively.
Participate in networking opportunities with professionals in the region and stay up to date on local trends and emerging needs, creatively devising solutions to new challenges.
Monitor guest reviews through various channels, looking for trends per store, and working with the Area Director for continuous improvement.
Being the Local Brand Ambassador:
Serve as the primary contact within the region for both marketing and guests, fostering strong connections with property managers and centers. Manage the store database, vet local events and marketing opportunities, and contribute localized content for Pollo Campero's social channels (e.g., Instagram and Facebook).
Leadership, Coaching, & Partnership:
Collaborate with Operations (ADs, DOs, Ops Services, etc.) to attract, develop, and retain top talent, ensuring adherence to Pollo Campero's "Best in Class" Catering Standards. Work closely with the Non-Traditional Channels Marketing Manager to execute regional-level marketing campaigns and promotions. Lastly, you will provide direction, leadership, and coaching to the Catering team, using sales initiatives and "Best in Class" Standards to achieve individual and team sales goals.
