The Police Activities League of Southwest Washington (PAL of SWWA) is seeking a collaborative and enthusiastic Program Coordinator to join our growing team.
This is a full time, nonexempt position reports to the Executive Director or designee. The position is primarily in-person and located in Vancouver, WA.
PAL Program Coordinator Core Responsibilities
The mission of PAL of SWWA is to promote positive relationships between law enforcement and youth through community-based educational and recreational programs.
PAL Program Coordinators are the heart of PAL’s programs. Program Coordinators will work directly with children and youth as well as law enforcement partner organizations, schools, nonprofits and community groups. Program Coordinators are responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing PAL programs including mentoring groups, adopt-a classroom, literacy events, sport tournaments, summer camps and other community events. Program Coordinators work as a team and serve as liaisons between PAL, law enforcement organizations, schools and additional community partners. Program Coordinators also assist with volunteer management, data collection, social media and other organizational functions. Program Coordinators report directly to the Executive Director or designee.

· Compensation $18-22 DOE, nonexempt position
· 35-40 hours per week, typical schedule is M-F 9 am- 5 pm with occasional evenings and weekends required due to events. We offer mutually beneficial scheduling flexibility.

What skills and experience could you bring to the PAL team?
· High School diploma or GED is required
· Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications within six months of hired date.
· Available to work occasional evenings and weekends to support PAL activities and events
· MUST PASS an in-depth, police background check with the Vancouver Police Department
· Valid driver’s license and insurance
· Previous experience working with children or youth
· Previous experience working with law enforcement
· Interest in working directly with youth
· Interest in collaborating directly with law enforcement
· Positive attitude and eager to learn new skills
· Strong communication skills- written and verbal
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Strong organizational skills
· Strong attention to details
