Lifeline Connections is Hiring a Program Coordinator Near Vancouver, WA

Pay Range: $19.50 to $22.50

This position is funded by the SAMHSA PPW grant, (H79TI086425) awarded on 9/30/2023 through 9/30/2028. This position may be eliminated at the end of the grant cycle. Employees may have the option to apply for other active positions within the agency.

 MAJOR DUTIES: Provides program oversight and clinical supervision for staff serving women and families under the guidance of the PPW Program Director. Activities include ensuring effective service delivery, maintenance of client records, contract compliance, public relations, interactions with families, and liaison with courts and various government and private agencies and officials. Incumbent performs the following activities:

  1. Will work as part of a treatment team & participate in regular team meetings;
  2. Will provide case management services to clients assigned to them in accordance with the individual service plan and evaluation recommendations;
  3. Represent the Agency in the community at various meetings and clinical reviews with the approval of the supervisor;
  4. Establishes and maintains relationships with community agencies and service providers to meet the needs of consumer/patients 
  5. Supports and implements agency policies and procedures;
  6. Networks within the community to identify outside agencies and services available to consumer/patients to help meet their needs;
  7. Supports with PPW intakes and ensures PPW clients and children have follow up care for discharge
  8. Adhere to all applicable regulations regarding client confidentiality;
  9. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED BY THE POSITION

  1. Preferred Bachelor's degree in human sciences or related field or equivalent work experience preferred; 
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  3. Ability to obtain Washington State Agency Affiliate Credential 
  4. Washington State Driver’s license required and proof of insurance
  5. Two years of experience working with adults and/or youth with co-occurring conditions
  6. Current CPR/First Aid certification for adults and infants.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  8. Excellent attendance and a self-starter; 
  9. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and provide consistent structure;
  10. Ability to work well on an interdisciplinary team 

GUIDELINES

The position requires that the incumbent maintain standards delineated in WAC 246-341, or its successor, and maintains licensure with the Department of Health. The incumbent relies on specialized training and/or equivalent experience in the field of chemical dependency treatment, DBHR, WACs and RCWs of Washington and the performance standards developed for the position.

COMPLEXITY

The incumbent provides program oversight and supervision to clients who differ widely in age and socioeconomic status and who may possess a variety of chronic and serious social, behavioral and psychological problems. Autonomy, maturity, sound judgment, and creativity are required to help identify and monitor policies and milieu activities that will meet the complex needs of both patients and staff.

PERSONAL CONTACTS

Contacts are with members of the treatment team, patients, significant others of the clients, Board of Directors, representatives of various community agencies specializing in the treatment of chemical abuse and related community representatives including lawyers, probation officers, and other court officials. All personal contacts are carried out in accordance with federal and state laws dealing with the confidentiality of alcohol and drug abuse patient records.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee is regularly required to sit, speak clearly, hear and use hands and fingers to manipulate writing utensils and keys on a keyboard. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands or arms, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or move a maximum of 20 lbs. Occasional heavy lifting may be required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Most working hours are spent indoors in offices or meeting rooms. Occasional supervision of outdoor activities, visits to community agencies, and participation in staff retreats and staff development activities may be required.
