Abbey Woods Health & Wellness is a busy 100 bed skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facility with beautiful rehabilitation space including a spacious gym with many windows and natural light, functional ADL spaces and proximity to our skilled wing. Our facility administrator is very supportive of therapy and ensures that we have the tools and equipment we need to provide the best possible care for our patients. Our DOR is a patient advocate for those without a voice and supports our therapists to provide the best possible care for our patients. Our goal is the be the first choice for patients discharged from our local hospital. We have a compassionate and dedicated nursing team and a fun, high energy in-house therapy team that includes several veteran therapists. We see a wide variety of cognition, dietary, and neurological diagnoses and both short term rehab patients (the majority of our caseload) as well as long term care residents. We are a newly formed healthcare company whose goal is to become the premier inpatient rehab provider in the communities we serve.

Our portfolio of skilled nursing and post-acute rehabilitation facilities in the Kansas City and Buchanon County regions is under new ownership and leadership. We are looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join our dedicated staff. We seek an SLP who is a self-motivated healthcare professional with a passion for thinking out of the box, developing patient center clinical progamming, and providing outstanding care to meet the diverse needs of our patients.

Requirements of the job:

• Valid state license

• Completion of accredited therapy program

• Some experience in a skilled nursing setting is a plus but we welcome therapists with all levels of experience to apply.
