Senior Director, IT Infrastructure

Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing IT infrastructure leadership, direction and engineering expertise in the development and implementation of corporate and customer technology systems. This role will work closely with the CTO to align our strategy and expand on security posture with a focus on delivering secured usage of technology, industry standards and best practices. Point Broadband is unique in that it is focused on both rapid organic growth, as well integration of systems and infrastructure through M&A activity. This role is an integral part in providing technical leadership and vision for the company. Must also be a hands-on participant in developing, engineering, deploying, and operating Infrastructure environments with Juniper, NetApp, Palo Alto, Dell, and other industry technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Partner with CTO in developing systems, networking, telecommunication and other infrastructure strategies and standards for the organization
• Evaluate, build, and execute IT infrastructure plan for the overall corporate environment as well as in selected program areas
• Project management, coordination involving development, implementation, and evaluation of infrastructure projects in line with organizational objectives
• Lead IT Infrastructure Operation, integration, communication, coordination with other IT cross-functional teams
• Assist in the process for vulnerability and patch management ensuring they are compatible with the company's business needs and strategic objectives
• Work closely with Production Engineering team in planning to ensure technology synergies are identified and incorporated planning and strategic roadmaps

Qualifications:

The Senior IT Director will have strong business and technical acumen and fully understand computing requirements for multiple business units, including their processes and systems, to provide solutions helping propel business success.

• Hands-on technology leader, with broad exposure to infrastructure, operations, ERP, security and risk management, engineering systems, digital, PMO and architecture
• Knowledge and experience with new IT solutions in the areas of mobility, cloud, security, and virtualization
• Capable of developing and executing short-term (tactical) and long-term (strategic) plans
• Experience with well-known vulnerability management technologies
• Proven experience and successes in creating IT strategies and negotiating contracts in a multi-vendor and global environment
• Team-oriented, a self-starter, flexible and an effective problem solver
• Experience operating infrastructure/application tools in a mid-sized to large provider
• Advanced understanding of OS and Network security best practices and strategies
• Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions
• Customer Service - Responds promptly to customer needs
• In-depth knowledge of Windows and Linux OS

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline or the equivalent combination of training and experience required
• 7 years of technical experience designing/implementing/managing networking, computer hardware, data center, or equivalent Infrastructure technology
• 3 years of technical leadership experience
• Experience evaluating, configuring, and troubleshooting a variety of systems and network equipment especially Dell, Juniper, Palo Alto, Alcatel-Lucent/Nokia - solid understanding of associated vendor hardware architecture and characteristics
• Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills and a customer-centric attitude
