PMCO is hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Mount Prospect, IL!
- Pay: $30-40/hr.
- 1st Shift: 5am - 2pm (Flexible up to 7am - 4pm) M-F (very little OT)
Daily tasks and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot, fix, and maintain various production and tool room equipment.
- Disassemble, replace, and rebuild defective components.
- Rebuild production machines by checking and replacing worn parts.
- Maintain and troubleshoot building systems like HVAC and air compressors.
- Install, repair, and connect electrical power lines and control panels.
- Perform preventive maintenance, oil/lubricate equipment, and update records.
- Install new equipment and ensure proper connections and safety devices.
- Handle miscellaneous building tasks like electrical, carpentry, plumbing, etc.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance inspections and update logs.
- Follow lockout/tag-out procedures when working on machines.
- Operate forklift for machine subassembly removal/installation.
- Adhere to safety rules and keep work area clean.
- Inform Supervisor of unusual equipment problems.
Requirements:
- 6-10 years of mechanical and electrical experience in manufacturing.
- Proven safety record and strong work ethic.
- Flexible to work 1st or modified 1st shift with possible overtime.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing electrical panels, circuits, and PLCs.
- Expertise in mechanical repairs, stamping presses, multi-slides, and heat treat ovens.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical prints, operate machine shop tools, and perform building maintenance.
- Proficient in using various machine tools, inspection tools, and welding equipment.
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds, standing, and/or kneeling for extended periods.
