THE ROLE
PlayOn! Sports is looking for a Service Delivery Manager to join our team. As a Service Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives aimed at increasing the productivity of our technical teams. The ideal candidate has a strong background in project management, excellent communication skills, a strong problem-solving mindset, and a passion for sports and technology.
Additional responsibilities and accountabilities for this role could include:
•Define and communicate project objectives, scope, and deliverables in collaboration with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, product, engineering, and cross-functional teams ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
•Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful execution and delivery of key milestones.
•Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery and develop contingency plans to address potential roadblocks.
•Establish and maintain effective communication channels with stakeholders to provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues, and solicit feedback and input as needed.
•Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to engineering team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
•Evaluate project performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure project success.
•Document, articulate and maintain your program's technical and business requirements.
•Guide and organize engineering teams to deliver platform capabilities that are in line with roadmap and program/organizational goals/KPIs.
•Work with development teams to tease out implementation details and identify roadblocks before they occur.
THE PERSON
•7-10 years of cross organizational program management experience leading highly visible, large-scale, strategic initiatives
•Proven experience translating business needs into roadmaps, clearly defined requirements, and delivery plans.
•Experience leading business transformation programs and software industry experience with an enterprise products company a plus.
•Knowledge of design thinking, strategy definition, agility concepts and how to operate in a fast paced and constantly evolving environment.
•Strong analytical problem solver with interpersonal skills to influence, maintain strong relationships, and collaborate at all levels.
•Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
•Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere.
•Experience in Excel and Office 365.
•Knowledge of business process improvement
•Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) processes and procedures (including Waterfall and Agile) is a plus
•Project Management Certification preferred (PMP, Agile, SAFe, etc.)
