Pivot Path Solutions is Hiring a Remote Proposal Writer

Based in Washington D.C. Metro area, Pivot Path Solutions, LLC is a government contracting and management consulting firm that offers enterprise IT solutions, strategic planning, organizational development, and business transformation services to help customers adapt and thrive in changing market conditions. We bring passion, sincerity and integrity to every product and service we provide to our customers. Pivot Path Solutions is currently seeking a technical Proposal Writer to join our team. This is a remote position, however candidates are preferred based in Washington D.C. Metro area. 
About This Role 
The candidate is responsible for creating compelling and comprehensive proposals in response to government solicitations and requests for information and proposals (RFIs and RFPs). This role requires a deep understanding of government contracting processes, regulations, and requirements, as well as excellent writing, research, and communication skills. The Proposal Writer works closely with cross-functional teams to gather information, develop strategies, and craft winning proposals that meet or exceed the requirements outlined in the solicitations. This position plays a critical role in helping the organization secure contracts and expand its business opportunities within the government sector. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, creative thinking, and effective communication skills to develop winning proposals that meet the needs of government agencies and drive business growth.
Key Roles/Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze government solicitations and RFPs to understand requirements, evaluation criteria, and deadlines.
  2. Collaborate with subject matter experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and insights for proposal development.
  3. Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, and schedules to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  4. Write clear, concise, and persuasive content tailored to the specific needs and preferences of government agencies.
  5. Conduct research to gather data, statistics, and relevant information to support proposal arguments and strategies.
  6. Edit and proofread proposal content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to formatting guidelines.
  7. Create graphics, charts, and other visual elements to enhance the readability and impact of proposals.
  8. Coordinate proposal reviews and revisions, incorporating feedback from internal and external stakeholders.
  9. Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and deadlines effectively.
  10. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and changes in government contracting regulations and policies.
  11. Contribute to the development and maintenance of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and knowledge management systems.
  12. Participate in pre-proposal meetings, site visits, and other activities to gather intelligence and strengthen relationships with government agencies.
  13. Other documentation assignments required as needed. 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in government contracting proposal writing or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of government procurement regulations, such as the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to synthesize information from diverse sources into cohesive proposals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and other relevant software tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and consistency in work product.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Certification in Proposal Management (e.g., APMP certification) is a plus.
