CNC Aluminum Fabrication Technician - Top Pay, Vacation, 401K, Profit Sharing, Bonus Program

We are looking for a competent CNC Operator to use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions related to the aluminum storefront industry. Your job is important since some materials are not easy to handle manually or with conventional equipment.

Must be highly skilled professional, able to work with great concentration and precision. Must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. A keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are also essential.

The goal is to produce high quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, cutting, etc.
• Understand blueprints, aluminum storefront, curtainwall, doors, systems and parts.
• Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines, either by hand or machines.
• Be able to operate forklift carrying, moving or loading materials.
• Be physically able to lift materials and be working on feet the majority of workday.
• Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
• Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts.
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed property.
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as CNC operator
• 5 years of experience with aluminum and glass framing systems and aluminum entrance doors, etc.
• Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret aluminum framing parts, shop drawings and architectural drawings.
• Basic understanding of computer programming.
• Good communication skills.
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in CNC operation is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
