Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the operations of Pirates Plunder. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing all aspects of the gift shop, from staff supervision to inventory management, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of Pirates Plunder, ensuring the store is running efficiently and effectively.
• Manage and lead a team of sales associates, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including merchandising, promotions, and customer engagement initiatives.
• Maintain optimal inventory levels, overseeing ordering, stocking, and display of merchandise.
• Ensure the shop is consistently clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback with professionalism and a customer-first attitude.
• Monitor and analyze sales reports, adjusting strategies as necessary to meet targets.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to maintain a diverse and appealing product range.
• Implement and enforce store policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards and local regulations.
• Manage financial aspects of the store, including budgeting, expense control, and cash handling.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, motivating staff to achieve their best performance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in a similar setting.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• A passion for customer service and creating a memorable shopping experience.
• Knowledge of merchandising and sales techniques.
