The Surgery OR Nurse position at Seattle Reproductive Medicine will allow you to work closely with a multidisciplinary surgical team to provide excellent patient care while making a difference every day.”

We are seeking a Surgery OR Nurse to join our dedicated team at Seattle Reproductive Medicine in Seattle, WA. This is a full-time position, working Monday, Wednesday and every other weekend. Weekends are 8 hours shifts and typically start between 6:30am -7:30am but can fluctuate.

RESPONSIBILITES

• Direct and perform nursing care within the surgical suite, pre-, intra- & postoperatively.
• Documents patient care services by timely charting in patient electronic medical record.
• Delegates within the surgery center team responsibilities for patient care and services to be rendered.
• Oversees care of suite, including cleanliness, sterility and operational ability of all equipment.
• Ensures aseptic technique is maintained during procedures according to approved standards.
• Ensures adequate quality control maintained in the surgery suite and maintains records for area including: Patient Log, Narcotic Log, Drug Outdates, Crash Cart Log.
• Initiates the emergency response team as needed when a patient emergency arises.
• Liaise with Physicians and nursing staff to ensuring cases are scheduled appropriately.
• Liaises with Medical Director regarding drugs inventory, changes and new drugs.
• Responsible for contacting vendors for equipment repairs and maintenance in the surgery suite.
• Participates in the orientation of new staff.
• Identify and communicate potential risks and recommends changes.
• Participates in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Committee.
• Ensures compliance with AAAHC accreditation requirements.
• Maintains OSHA standards within the surgery suite and communicates changes to SRM staff.
• Assists the Medical Director in the evaluation and need for new or different equipment and/or supplies.
• Assesses the patient for the appropriate level of care to be delivered.
• Maintains awareness of patient condition and communicates changes in status to other team members as appropriate.
• Participates in patient satisfaction survey and works in those areas identified in maximizing patient satisfaction of SRSC.
• Provides ongoing in-service for new equipment or techniques to staff.
• Ensures all staff are updated on changes to surgery suite procedures or protocols.
• Ensures prescribed CPR, Malignant Hypothermia, crash code and fire drills take place.
• Supports and enforces organizational policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITSPOSITION REQUIREMENTS

• RN (2 year degree program) required. B.S.N. preferred.
• Current state RN license without limitations required.
• Maintain updated ACLS and BLS licenses.

$40.00- $54.00 hourly

The compensation range for this position is between $40.00 and $54.00 per hour. Final compensation offers will be determined based on factors such as years of experience, skills, and qualifications. In addition to competitive compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare, dental, life, and vision insurance.
