Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. This role offers an opportunity to work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, medical offices, and hospice care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs
- Provide basic patient care and comfort measures
- Assist in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment for patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Utilize medical documentation systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks
- Follow aseptic techniques to prevent infection
- Support patients in ICU and other specialized units
- Administer basic life support as needed
Skills:
- Proficiency in using medical documentation systems like Cerner and eClinicalWorks
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques to maintain cleanliness and prevent infections
- Familiarity with ICU procedures and protocols
- Experience in providing care in a hospital or medical office setting
- Understanding of basic life support procedures
- Strong grasp of human physiology and anatomy
- Ability to provide compassionate hospice care when required
