As a Finance Clerk, you will play a vital role in servicing client accounts including maintaining accurate financial records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles. In addition to handling more complex bookkeeping tasks, you will assist in financial reporting and support clients in various accounting functions.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete bookkeeping cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and other financial reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budget variance analysis.
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable aging and follow up on overdue payments when appropriate.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies or issues.
• Assist in the implementation and improvement of accounting systems and processes.
• Provide support and guidance to coworkers.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least three years of bookkeeping experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Finance industry experience is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
• Familiarity with tax regulations and experience in tax preparation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members.
• Up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations, standards, and best practices.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform tasks for extended periods at a desk or workstation.
• Proficiency in using a computer, including typing and navigating software.
• Capability to occasionally lift and carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Effective verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak clearly and articulate information.
• Visual acuity to read documents and work on a computer screen
• Auditory capability for effective communication;
• Mobility within the office environment to attend meetings and access common areas.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
