Description
PingWind is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our team. As a Systems administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our organization’s IT infrastructure.
Location: Tampa, FL
Required Clearance: TS with SCI Eligibility
Required Education: Master’s Degree in relevant field
Required Experience: Eight (8 ) years of experience in Information Technology
Responsibilities
· Creates plans to ensure effective management, operations, and maintenance of systems and/or networks
· Manages teams of system admins and can prioritize work and identify high risk critical problems and dedicate appropriate resources
· Has extensive knowledge of a wide variety of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems
· Design, deploy, and manage servers and systems infrastructure.
· Lead the administration, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems, networks, and storage solutions.
· Implement security measures to safeguard systems and data integrity.
· Conduct regular system performance monitoring and optimization.
· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in collaboration with other IT teams.
· Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior system administrators.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
· Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies.
Requirements
· Proven experience as a System Administrator, with a focus on server administration.
· In-depth knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux), virtualization, and storage technologies.
· Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) for automation tasks.
· Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
· Familiarity with network protocols, security principles, and best practices.
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, Linux Professional Institute Certification) are desirable.
