We are looking for a qualified Medical Assistant / Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide daily assistance to patients. You will help them with their basic needs and collaborate with medical professionals to achieve excellent patient care.

This is a full-time, temporary position with the possibility for full-time, regular.

Summary: Assists in examination and treatment of patients under direction of Physician by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height and records information of patients’ charts.
• Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment
• Assists with wound care
• Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials
• Operates electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic test or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests
• Screens telephone calls for physicians
• Returns patient phone calls
• Calls in patient prescriptions
• Schedule hospital and outpatient surgeries
• Answers triage calls
• Travel required
• Safeguard the privacy of patient health information
• Other related duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge in medical terminology.
• Ability to effectively communicate.
