Pieper Electric is Hiring a Contract Administrator Near Berlin, WI

Contract Administrator

Accurately organize, file and retrieve company documents, managing the administrative and clerical processing for Master Subcontract Agreements, AIA Subcontracts and Bonds. Coordinate with project manager, supervisor and others in leadership team to ensure that contracts are signed and processed within deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Contracts:
  • Identify insurance requirements and obtain appropriate certificate of insurance and forward to project manager for review.
  • Process payment and performance bonds.
  • Identify OCIP or certified payroll is required in contract.
  • Forward to proper signing authority and ensure timely signature and receipt.
Sub Contracts:
  • Use template to complete, and route to proper signing authority for signature for sub-contracts in New Berlin office.
  • Provide assistance to remote branches if needed.
  • Ensure proper certificate of insurance and forward to customer.
Pre-qualifications:
  • Complete questionnaire using information saved on network drive.
  • Bid Bonds
  • Request bid bond from bonding company in timely manner.
  • Obtain proper signatures based on signing authority.
  • Seal bid and deliver to Project Manager

  • Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • JD strongly preferred
  • 3- 5 years of experience in contract administration; construction industry experience preferred
  • Contract Certifications a plus, but not required
  • Experience with sub-contracts
  • Experience with Life Cycle Management Tools (docusign, etc)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and advanced typing skills for data entry
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, financial reports and technical documents
  • Strong negotiation and mediation skills
