DeWitt LLP seeks a highly motivated and talented law student to join our team as a Law Clerk at its Green Bay, Wisconsin, location. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various practice areas, work alongside experienced attorneys, and contribute to meaningful projects. Law Clerks will have the chance to participate in client meetings, legal research, drafting documents, and other aspects of legal practice, providing valuable insights into the workings of a top-tier law firm.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct legal research on various topics and prepare memoranda summarizing findings.
· Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including briefs, motions, contracts, and agreements.
· Attend client meetings, depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings with attorneys.
· Analyze and organize evidence, documents, and case materials for litigation or transactional matters.
· Collaborate with attorneys and team members on special projects and assignments as needed.
· Stay updated on relevant legal developments and industry trends.
Requirements
· Currently enrolled in an accredited law school, pursuing a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
· Strong academic record with a demonstrated interest in one or more practice areas.
· Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Professional demeanor with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Prior legal experience or participation in law-related extracurricular activities is preferred but not required.
Duration:
The Law Clerk program typically runs from June 3 to August 9.
