Physicians Choice Hospice, LLC is hiring a Full-Time Admissions RN to join our growing hospice team.

The Admissions RN is a field-based, primarily autonomous position requiring excellent organizational, time-management, and triage skills to accommodate 2-3 hospice admissions per day. General schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, however, flexibility is preferred and weekend availability is exceptional.

Second only to our marketing team, the Admissions RN serves as the face of our organization and is a representation of our core values and mission – “Where Kindness Happens”- during the hospice admissions process.

Clear, compassionate, and empathetic communication skills will lay the foundation for trust between the patient, family, and our hospice team and reinforce the goal of comfort-based care during terminal illness.

The Admissions RN should expect to be available for patient evaluation to determine appropriateness for hospice, which may include the following: reinforcing the hospice philosophy of comfort-based (not curative) treatment; working with the IDG team to coordinate transportation, DME, and supply needs for new patients; and a willingness to educate both patient and family members on at-home care for the terminally ill.

SALARY: $85,000 per year

REQUIREMENTS:

· Current, unencumbered RN license in Nevada (no discipline)

· Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (booster preferred)

· CPR certification

· 2-Step TB test (quantiferon or chest x-ray also accepted)

· Valid driver’s license / valid auto insurance

· Hospice experience – minimum 1 year

· Background check / toxicology testing (must pass both)

· Legally eligible to work in the United States

PREFERRED:

· Weekend availability

· Bi-lingual (Spanish)

· Admissions experience – preferably hospice
