The Admissions Coordinator works under the direction of the designated Department Manager responsible for resident Admissions. The Admissions Coordinator works to coordinate paperwork verification, including insurance and other payor sources, and in making other general preparations for new admissions. The Admissions Coordinator works with the admission and marketing teams to assist in any way possible to enhance communication and ensure that the resident admission process is efficient and effective.

Full Time-Must be available to work Saturday and Sunday

The Job:

• Know, understand, and implement the mission of Sandstone.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the documents contained in the resident admission packet.
• Timely and accurately complements and coordinates the resident admission paperwork and ensures it is filed and managed according to company policy.
• Assists the Marketing and Admissions Team in preparing resident admissions or readmissions packets.
• Maintains the highest degree of professionalism in presenting resident admission paperwork to prospective patients and their families. 
• Communicates to providers and/or case managers regarding potential admissions.
• Assists the Marketing and Admissions Team in submitting referral information for tracking in the company database. 
• Assists with paperwork as assigned to help with discharge. 
• Other duties as assigned

It's Helpful if You Have Experience In:

• Skilled Nursing, Residential Health Care & Post- Acute facilities
• Therapy and Rehabilitation

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to successfully pass an NABS fingerprint background screening and drug test. 
• 2-3 years of medical experience in long-term care.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR Certification
• 4 years of medical experience in long-term care.
